RELIEF DOMESTIC ABUSE SUPPORT WORKER &
RELIEF NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER ? MODH EILE HOUSE
These roles provide a real opportunity to make a difference in the
lives of women and children living with abuse, and to shape how our
community and society view and address abuse in the family.
Modh Eile House provides temporary, safe accommodation for women and
their children experiencing domestic abuse, with the Service
supporting women and their children from Galway city & county who both

days a week, Modh Eile House prioritises the safety and welfare of
women and children living with abuse, providing comprehensive and
holistic care. These posts are part of the dedicated team of
professionals who operate this service.

ONE YEAR), A RELEVANT QUALIFICATION AND A COMMITMENT TO OUR MISSION,

A DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION OUTLINES THE FULL
CRITERIA REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONS AND INCLUDES:
* Completed level 6 on National Framework of Qualifications in social
care/ healthcare.
* A minimum of one year?s experience working in a Domestic Abuse
service
* An ability to advocate effectively for women and in the context of
a gendered analysis of domestic violence and abuse
* Strong ICT skills
* An ability to engage with and gain the trust of clients.
* Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in work
HOURS OF WORK: As required, there will be no guarantee of shifts.
The nature of relief work is to cover the annual leave, sickness or
other leave taken by the permanent staff. You are expected to be

offered over a 3-month rolling period (excluding certified sick leave,
annual leave or maternity leave etc).
ANNUAL LEAVE: **Apply on the website** day per annum pro rata
CONTRACT: 2 years fixed term
